TimberMill Shore's ink's land deal with the City of Klamath Falls and Klamath County
Klamath Falls, Ore - On August 24th, 2004, Klamath County Commissioner approved the purchase of 2 acres of land, along with a 30 foot easement along the north eastern sides of Lake Ewauna. The deal, which was well over a year in the making, will allow a public access easement within the TimberMill Shores development from Veteran's Park to the railroad trestle to the South. The two acres, along with the 30 foot easement along the lake which is considered prime development land was not sold at market price, but instead partially gifted at a reduced price to ensure additional parklands and create public access for the public to enjoy. The two acre trailhead will allow Veterans Park to grow and provide valuable access to Lake Ewauna. Once those improvements have been made, the City, County and TimberMill Shores will then look to open the trail system along the lake, when development allows, but only after safety precautions have been mad to protect the undeveloped portions of the large 50 acre TimberMill site.
