The event will be staged at Veterans Park at the southeastern end of downtown Klamath Falls and on a portion of the TimberMill Shores site adjacent to it.

The event will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. ?Phil Newton and the Shouters, who hail from Grants Pass, Ore., will begin performing at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Food, beer and wine and other beverages will be on sale at the concert, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local organization to be determined.

Our first concert in late June drew more than 2,000 people, and everybody seemed to have a good time, said Rob Shaw, managing member of Pine Cone LLC. We expect an even bigger turnout this time.

Shaw added that TimberMill Shores hopes to present ?three or four concerts next summer.

It's a nice thing to do for the community, and it shows how TimberMill Shores, with its beautiful lakefront location, can become a real gathering-place and focal point for Klamath Falls and the surrounding area, he said.

The first phase of TimberMill Shores is now being built on a 50-acre brownfield site formerly occupied by the Modoc Lumber Co. and other industrial users. It will be a diverse mixed-use community including residences, shops, hotels, theaters, offices, parks, and manufacturing.

Pine Cone LLC owns an additional 180 acres along both shores of Lake Ewauna, and the developers plan to restore about 100 acres to its original condition as wetlands, providing better habitat for fish, waterfowl and other wildlife.

Plans also call for a park running along the shore of Lake Ewauna, with a pedestrian and bike trail.
